The Chamonix Valley lies less than an hour, south east, by road from Geneva. Black Rock Ski Lodge nestles in the Chavant area of Les Houches in the domain of Chamonix Mont Blanc.
Les Houches lies at the western end of the Chamonix Mont Blanc Valley and has it’s own ski area which hosts the famous Khandahar World Cup downhill in Janaury every year and will host the Olympic downhill if the 2018 bid is successful.
The Chamonix valley has one of the largest and most exciting ski areas in the World and is made up of 5 skiing areas with the majority of the skiing above 1800 meters.
Black Rock Ski Lodge is within 100m of the slopes allowing quick access by foot in the early and late season and ski to door when the snow is good. It also offers breathtaking views from the foot of Mont Blanc to the Grand Montets.
Houches is a beautiful vibrant village at the foot of Mont Blanc with plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes, and sport shops for rental and sale of equipment in both the summer and the winter with Chamonix town a 10 minute drive up the road.
